Lincoln turns 8!

And now for the big boy's 8th Birthday!
the decor...
(it's amazing what some streamers and balloons can do in 15 minutes!)

Lincoln and his friends played some fun "minute to win-it" style games.
We couldn't believe how well they all did on the egg toss! They all kept going for so long and so far!
(side note: see my grass! it's the first time in 7 years we have had grass in the back yard, and it is so fun! we can even walk around with bare feet! oh the simple pleasures of life. )

spin around and stand on one leg...

Lincoln getting a skateboard from his best friend Eli...ya know, so they can both break their arms at the same time =)

make a wish!

Happy Birthday Lincoln!

We love you Buddy!

Hannah in double digits!

What better nudge back into the blogging world (after a one year hiatus) than birthdays!
My kids were actually very excited that I would be blogging again...it makes them feel very important ya know.

I told Hannah I am not allowed to have a 10 year old (cause that would make me old)...but she said I just have to deal with it. I told her she doesn't have any more fingers to hold up in her birthday pictures...so I win.

Hannah got to celebrate on her birthday with a few friends at the house. We had a Purple Polka Dot party. The kids had fun sticking polka dots all over the house and making big polka dot pom poms. It was quite festive...and cheap!

The girls played Just Dance and had so much fun together...especially doing the Russian dance a million times!

This year she started designing potential birthday cakes weeks in advance. This got the other 2 drawing cakes of their own for their upcoming parties as well. I have created monsters.
I wanted to test out a cake recipe for an upcoming wedding so I indulged Hannah with a big cake...complete with purple layers inside.

This is one cute grown up girl. Seriously...10? How does that happen? Just a second ago we were living in an apartment by the Temple and she was going to Halloween parties with her Aunties and stealing the show. She was reading scriptures to Leah in Spanish and singing many many hymns on her own, and reciting books from memory to Paige.
She is an amazing girl. She is a great big sister and friend, and she is smart and talented in so many ways.
We love our Hannah!

 Happy Birthday!
