here's the thing.
i believe that just because your kid CAN get out of their crib
it doesn't mean they SHOULD get out of their crib.
and just because they DON'T WANT to take a nap,
it doesn't mean they don't NEED a nap.
you are either going to think that
a) i'm a genius and i just saved your life
b) i'm white trash
c) i'm a genius but also white trash
d) a terrible desperate mother
e) just a terrible mother
are you ready?
this is my invention for keeping your kid in their crib when they still need naps and to sleep at night.
warning: it's not pretty.
this is actually the end result of a few minor adjustments to the crib including...
lowering the mattress onto cans. aaahhhh. the many uses for food storage.
later when she was started using the corner to get out
i just duct taped towels in the corners and it worked like a charm.
she just keeps growing though. go figure.
so this is the latest addition. the crib bumper she didn't want IN her bed now assists in keeping HER IN bed.
that, ='s this...
and also this...
just to show you that she is still a happy girl even though she can't climb out of her crib anymore. she also looks pretty raggedy...ya know,to match her bed.
yes of course eventually she will move into a toddler bed.
but not tonight!
you're welcome.

That totally cracks me up Randi. Looks like something I would do. We just turn the door knobs around and lock out kids in their rooms.
Randi!!! Mockingjay comes out tonight at midnight!!!!!!!
We're cracking up at your innovation over here! Holy cow!! We have the door knobs backwards too. Cuz we're cool like that. :)
Best invention ever.
Nice work Randi......very impressive. Maybe you should get a patent on that thing quick!
